Shelley Miranda Barrett (TV Series) / Catherine Tregenna (Radio Shows)

Mandy is a lovable character that shows her affection for Randy in such a forward manner it's almost unbelievable! She's a self confessed nymphomaniac and strives at every opportunity to get Randy to have his wicked way with her.

 

Mandy and Randy move in together in series three finale "13 Terminal Street", but its short lived as they believe that Tom's ghost still exists at the house after a nasty surprise staged by Dai.

 

Seeks advice from Moira on the subject of 'Men' and best friends with dozy Bridget, later gets friendly with Donna.

 

Catherine Tregenna

Mandy was originally played by Catherine Tregenna (Left) in the Radio Show plays at the Chapter Arts Theatre in Cardiff. As with all the actors in the play, Catherine played other parts in the show too but mainly acted as Mandy.

 

It is a testiment to the actresses, that both Catherine and Shelley both sound and play Mandy almost identically, with only subtle differences noticable every now and again. Both actresses took on the part and played it exactly how it was written, the way it was meant to be acted.
